The ceremony of the golden year of the petrochemical
industry started this morning (Sunday, August 1) in the presence of Behzad
Mohammadi, Deputy Minister of Petroleum for Petrochemical Affairs and the CEO
of the National Petrochemical Company, as well as CEOs of petrochemical holdings
and companies.
The golden year of the petrochemical industry is the
beginning of a new movement towards completion of the second leap of the industry
in Iran and the beginning of the third leap of this industry.
According to Behzad Mohammadi, the petrochemical industry made
giant strides in the path of the second leap, and the most unprecedented growth
in petrochemical production in the history of this industry was registered in
the year, despite pressure from restrictions caused by the coronavirus outbreak
and, of course, the sanctions.
He pointed out: “This is not the end of the work and with
the completion of the second leap projects in 1400, the production capacity of
Iran's petrochemical industry will reach a record 100 million tons.”
