Mohammad Reza Samiei stated on Monday: “Iran has a good
capacity to access saline water resources, so solving the challenges of water
desalination units is very important.”
Regarding the RO method for water desalination, he added:
"To make reverse osmosis operational, the most important requirement is
its element, because all the supply equipment and materials required for it
have been localized."
The CEO of Damavand Energy Assaluyeh Company, pointing out
that his company has planned to produce 18,600 cubic meters per hour of Ro1
water and about 15,000 cubic meters per hour of RO2 water, emphasized: “Our company
needs 38,000 elements for RO1 and 11,600 for RO2, of which about 12% has been
provided, given that the lifespan of each element is three years.”
Saying that the production of these elements requires high
technology, Samiei continued: "These elements are sensitive to chlorine
and their storage conditions are also important, so tech firms and
knowledge-based companies should pay attention to this issue and Damavand
Energy Assaluyeh Company is prepared to offer it experiences in this regard to
the interested companies.”
