Speaking in the context of the commemoration of the mourning days of
Aba Abdullah Al-Hussein, Morteza Shahmirzayi expressed that Iran possesses vast
capacities for the development of the petrochemical sector.
Shahmirzayi stated, "As we witness an increase in Iran's
petrochemical production capacity in the coming years and the expansion of
target markets, it is essential to focus on value creation and promote
diversified development across all sectors."
The Deputy Minister further emphasized that by aligning with the
completion of the value chain, Iran can transform various polymer and chemical
products into complementary industries, thereby reducing raw material sales and
moving towards the production of finished goods, ultimately creating more added
Recognizing the pivotal role of competent and specialized human
resources in the petrochemical industry's development, Shahmirzayi said,
"The achievements in Iran's petrochemical industry have been realized
through the efforts and dedication of our skilled workforce, which has led to
demands for specialized cooperation from various countries and interest in
purchasing goods, equipment, and catalysts from Iranian companies."
The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company urged all members of the
petrochemical industry's extensive family to utilize their capabilities and
knowledge to strive for the achievement of set objectives.
He added, "Today, with the determination of capable Iranian
builders, the development of value-creating petrochemical industry is being
carried out by domestic companies, and we can make the best use of internal
knowledge and experience."
Shahmirzayi stressed the importance of precise and coordinated
planning and the utilization of academic capacities, research centers, and
domestic builders' capabilities to actualize development programs along the
value chain. He also highlighted the potential contributions of knowledge-based
companies and science and technology parks in this endeavor.
"With effort and perseverance, we can realize development plans
along the value chain and the role of the youth in value-creating development
within this industry is of special significance," Shahmirzayi concluded.
