Iran, Uzbekistan Sign Cooperation Agreement

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The National Petrochemical Company (NPC) of Iran and Uzbekistan's O'zKimyoSanoat Company signed a cooperation agreement with the aim of expanding bilateral relations in the petrochemical sector. The agreement was inked on the sidelines of the 17th Iran Plast International Exhibition.

Morteza Shahmirzaei, Deputy Minister of Oil and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company, and Kujikov Alexandrovich, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of O'zKimyoSanoat Company in Uzbekistan, signed the cooperation agreement on Wednesday, September 20, marking the fourth day of the exhibition.

This agreement follows the agreements reached by the presidents of both countries and is aimed at finalizing areas of common cooperation and exploring the modalities of collaboration outlined in this agreement.

The 17th Iran Plast International Exhibition, which commenced on Sunday, September 17, with a focus on expanding the value chain, supporting domestic manufacturing, and promoting local production, is set to run until Wednesday, September 20, in the permanent exhibition grounds of Tehran International Exhibition Center.
