NPC Reports 53% Progress in Zanjan Petchem Project

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) announced that the Zanjan urea and ammonia project has made substantial progress, achieving over 53% completion in its construction phase, owing to the extensive support from the NPC in resolving various challenges.

During an inspection visit to the Zanjan petrochemical project, coinciding with the President's provincial tour, Morteza Shahmirzaei stated that the NPC has prioritized the construction and completion of the Zanjan petrochemical project since the early days of the 13th government's activities.

"The initial issues of this project have been resolved due to the efforts of the CEO and the project team, resulting in significant progress. Today, based on the inspections carried out, we can confidently state that this project is on track and making excellent progress," Mirzaei added.

Highlighting the project's significant advancement, the NPC CEO emphasized the serious consideration given to public demands by the project's executives.

He indicated that the project has surpassed 53% completion and affirmed plans for its timely execution, followed by the study and implementation of its value chain.

"I assure the shareholders that with the existing determination within the National Petrochemical Company and the resolution of certain challenges, this project will be brought into production according to the new plan, fulfilling the long-standing aspirations of our shareholders," he concluded.
