Morteza Shahmirzai made these remarks during the inaugural session of
the Policy-Making Council of the 11th edition of the Petrochemical Industry
Excellence Award on Sunday.
"In addition to the necessity of broad participation by holding
companies and petrochemical complexes, the presence of petrochemical projects
and other active companies in the oil industry should be facilitated in the
Excellence Award process," Shahmirzai emphasized.
He further added that petrochemical complexes and projects must play a
more active role in the 11th edition to pave the way for sustainable
development of the petrochemical industry and value chain completion through
strategic and intelligent thinking.
"One of the main strategies of the indigenous petrochemical
industry is the localization of equipment and goods used in value-added
petrochemical processes, which we have witnessed valuable achievements in
recent years, and I hope that with the planned programs in the near future, all
necessary equipment and goods will be domestically produced," Shahmirzai
continued.
Highlighting the importance of reforming procedures and evaluations to
achieve greater coherence in the Petrochemical Industry Excellence Award, he
emphasized the need for serious attention to knowledge transfer and training by
the Excellence Award Secretariat.
