TEHRAN (NIPNA) - In a commemorative event for the seventh day after the martyrdom of former Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions, Iran's National Petrochemical Company (NPC) reaffirmed its commitment to bolstering the national economy by leveraging the petrochemical industry's potential.

Addressing the gathering on Saturday, Morteza Shahmirzaei, Iran's Deputy Petroleum Minister and NPC's CEO, stressed the importance of utilizing all available resources to drive the development and investment in the petrochemical sector.

Shahmirzaei, while paying homage to the late President's unwavering dedication to Islam, the Islamic Revolution, and the nation, acknowledged the immense responsibility of following the path laid down by Raisi.

"We have a tremendous obligation to emulate his exemplary moral and Islamic conduct in our efforts to serve our country," Shahmirzaei said, affirming that Raisi's legacy of relentless dedication will live on.

Raisi, along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and several other high-ranking officials, tragically lost their lives in the Bell 212 helicopter crash near the village of Uzi in East Azerbaijan, Iran, which highlighted the challenges faced by Iran in modernizing its military fleet due to international sanctions.

As Iran mourns the loss of Raisi and his companions, it remains steadfast in its mission to grow the petrochemical sector and contribute to the overall development of the nation's economy.

"The message and aspirations of the deceased President will never fade away," Shahmirzaei emphasized, as Iran honors its fallen heroes by maintaining their dreams of national prosperity.
