Speaking at a local administrative council meeting in Bandar Mahshahr,
Bord highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance feedstock availability, including
the Bidboland associated gas collection project, which is set to launch its
first phase in March. "This initiative not only addresses gas flaring but
also boosts feedstock supply for petrochemical facilities," he stated.
Bord emphasized the strategic importance of developing the Marun Khami
and Ahvaz Khami fields, stating that their advancement will secure feedstock
for the Mahshahr region’s petrochemical plants for decades.
He noted that Mahshahr has experienced minimal reductions in
petrochemical feedstock despite operational challenges. "Even during
scheduled maintenance periods requiring reduced output, we prioritized
maintaining the feedstock supply to Mahshahr’s petrochemical units," he
explained.
Bord also mentioned the contribution of the NGL 3200 project,
alongside other initiatives, in bolstering feedstock availability for the
region. These developments underscore NIOC's commitment to supporting
Mahshahr’s petrochemical hub and ensuring its sustainable growth.
