TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Chief executives of Iran’s petrochemical holding companies have underlined the regulatory role of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) in managing governance, oversight, and operational relationships between petrochemical firms and stakeholders.

During a meeting led by Hassan Abbaszadeh, Deputy Petroleum Minister and CEO of NPC, a progress report on the industry's activities was presented. Abbaszadeh reaffirmed NPC’s continued support for petrochemical holdings and various industry sectors, emphasizing its role as a key representative of government interests.

Strengthening NPC’s Regulatory Position

The CEOs praised NPC’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by the industry and called for a stronger regulatory position for the organization. They highlighted the importance of NPC’s role in ensuring streamlined operations and fostering collaboration within the petrochemical sector.

Unified Participation in Industry Events

A consensus was reached during the meeting to support NPC’s leadership in organizing cohesive and well-coordinated participation in domestic and international exhibitions, conferences, and events.

The executives also emphasized the need to avoid fragmented or uncoordinated industry gatherings and stressed the importance of NPC’s public relations department in policymaking and coordinating such events.

"Ensuring a unified presence at industry events under the guidance of NPC is crucial for reinforcing the sector’s image and fostering strategic partnerships," the CEOs collectively stated.
