Speaking at a specialized panel on research achievements in the
petrochemical industry during the third Petrotech Conference on Sunday, Nohjah
highlighted PRTC’s role as a vital supporter of petrochemical companies in
recent years, with significant achievements in advancing the sector.
Nohjah emphasized that PRTC, as a bridge between industry and academia,
is ready to meet the industry’s needs across various sectors. The company is
actively involved in enhancing the petrochemical value chain and producing
final products, positioning itself as a driving force within the industry.
Focus on Commercialization and Technological Advancements
He added that in recent years, PRTC has intensified its
commercialization efforts, providing petrochemical complexes with essential
technical knowledge and catalysts, yielding favorable results.
The company has also leveraged its existing infrastructure to supply
critical technical expertise to several petrochemical projects, including heavy
polyethylene plants in Tabriz and Bushehr, polypropylene production at Bid
Boland, Pars Petrochemical, and methanol production at the Islamabad West
project, as well as the Lorch Petrochemical Project.
PRTC has successfully carried out 25 pilot projects, with the linear
low-density polyethylene plant at the Arak Center scheduled for launch by the
end of 2025.
Promoting Innovation and Sustainable Development
Nohjah noted that there are currently 255 pieces of technical
knowledge in the industry, and 99 catalysts are utilized in Iran’s oil sector.
With the collaboration of knowledge-based companies, 95 of these catalysts have
been localized.
He further highlighted PRTC’s ongoing efforts in carbon management and
energy management, areas of particular focus for the company. Over the past few
years, PRTC has finalized 80 contracts and agreements aimed at fostering
further growth and innovation in the petrochemical sector.
